Randy Pate
Co-Director
Originally from Raleigh, NC, Randy graduated from the Nick Bolletieri Tennis Academy as its first two sport athlete. He went on to Atlantic Christian (Barton College) where he played on a basketball and tennis scholarship. In 1987, Randy opened his first tennis academy. In 2016, he was recruited to Charleston to develop a world class junior and collegiate tennis development program. Over his career, his players have won over 300 national, southern, & state level junior level titles, as well as ITF and Junior Grand Slam championships. He regards his greatest accomplishments to be guiding his junior players to achieve & leverage their tennis goals to create outstanding college tennis & academic options for themselves.

BRANDON ARRADAZA
Originally from Northern Michigan, Brandon played college tennis at Ferris State University where he earned his degree in Professional Tennis Management. Prior to joining Pate Academy, Brandon was the Girl's Head Coach at the Saddlebrook Tennis Academy where he had success helping players achieve top national rankings and international wins.

GEOFFREY ASHLEY
ACADEMY & HIGH PERFORMANCE/ FITNESS COACH
From Los Angeles, CA, Geoffrey is a 4th generation tennis player and coach. Geoffrey has extensive experience teaching tennis to juniors and adults, as well as strength and conditioning training. Geoffrey holds a BFA in Photography from the University of Arizona and is a graduate of the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts.

PETER AYERS
Peter had a highly decorated junior career before becoming an All-American tennis player at Duke University. After college, Peter played professionally on the ATP Futures and Challenger tours. As a tennis coach, Peter teaches and preaches to “be great at the little things” with a focus on athletic preparation and the importance of a player’s first move.

CHRIS CAGLE
Chris grew up in Greensboro, NC and played his college tennis at UNC-Wilmington (2-time team captain). After college, Chris played professional tennis in Europe, Mexico and the United States. After playing as a professional, Chris was the Assistant Men’s Coach at Wake Forest and Penn State, and then the Head Woman’s Coach at Penn State, where he set program highs in the Big Ten conference and national rankings.

PATRICK HIEBER
Patrick is the Director of Tennis for the combined facilities under the LTP brand, LTP - Mt. Pleasant and LTP - Daniel Island. Patrick has over 20 years of experience in tennis, including being the previous Director of Tennis at Pate Academy. Patrick serves as the Tournament Director for the ITF professional events and USTA Girls 18s Clay Court Championships held at LTP - Mt. Pleasant.

CHARLY RASHEED
ACADEMY & HIGH PERFORMANCE COACH
Charly played college tennis at Clemson University and the University of Mississippi. Charly served as the Director of Tennis at Wild Dunes Resort for the 14 years prior to joining Pate Academy in 2019.

MARTIN ZUMPFT
Martin received a full scholarship to the Nick Bollettieri tennis academy at the age of 10 and played on the ATP tour from 1988 to 1997 where he reached a top 300 ranking in singles and top 200 in doubles. He coached at IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy for 3 years, including coaching 2 time grand slam winner Mary Pierce in 2001. Martin has coached at a number of clubs in Tennessee and his own academy at Wild Dunes in Charleston and was director of a club in Southern Oregon. Martin recently moved back to Charleston to work at Pate Academy.

CRISTIAN PONS
Cristian was a highly ranked player in his home county, Chile. He played ITF juniors and professional tennis in Chile and Argentina before coming to the US for a tennis scholarship at Lee university, where he graduated with a business management degree.

LENNY SCHLOSS
After an exceptional junior career, Lenny went to the University of Tennessee for his college tennis & left as an All American & member of their Hall of Fame. Lenny turned professional, where he achieved a Top 10 ranking among American players and played in all of the Grand Slams before before an injury ended his career. He owned & worked at a variety of tennis academies throughout the country, teaching over 20,000 juniors and 1,000 coaches. Lenny is a business partner with Billie Jean King on a revolutionary tennis instructional tool, the Eye Coach.

CHRIS DEMARCO
Chris previously worked for the Center for Performance Excellence in Denver, CO. He obtained a Master's degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver and is in the final stage of achieving the highest certification in sport psychology, the CMPC. Chris has worked with athletes as a mental performance consultant and previously as a strength and conditioning coach. He played collegiate golf, and earned all state honors in high school golf, tennis, and basketball. Chris is passionate about enhancing performance through mental training as well as overall wellbeing and mental health.

CHELSEA SAWYER

Chelsea was an NCAA division 1 athlete and played at 3 power five schools (SEC, ACC, & Big10). Her college career achievements include ranked wins against numbers 25 and 62 in the nation and she was the captain of her team at Louisville. As a junior player she was nationally ranked as high as 27 and was a 5 star recruit. Chelsea has trained with Pate Academy since she was 10 years old. She holds a degree in sports administration

LOUIS SKPOWSKI
Originally from Newport Beach, CA, Louis played college tennis at USC Spartanburg. He played professional league tennis in Germany before returning to the US to teach tennis at many clubs in Florida and the south. He has coached boys and girls high school teams and helped to develop the tennis program at the Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.

FRANCOIS RIZZETTO
ROGY & ADULT COACH
Francois was a nationally ranked junior in the French Federation of Tennis. He played D1 tennis at the Citadel and coached tennis in France at the Vichy Sporting Club. He coached the Lucy Beckham High School state champion women's as well as the men's tennis teams. Francois enjoys working on the bio-mechanics of tennis players using video analyses. He is USTA/PTR certified.
