Tournament Team is a critical part of player development. A key driver of Pate Academy’s success is coaches watching and supporting players in competitive situations. Tournament Team is available for local, sectional, and national tournaments.
DETAILS

Warm-up for each day of the tournament, typically first thing in the morning

Watching at least one competitive match each day, with every effort to watch more than one match or parts of multiple matches whenever possible

Coaching on split sets, if permitted

Post-match, or end of day, coaching and analysis

Player tune-ups or extra hitting when possible

Post-tournament analysis and communication with each player’s lead coach

Targeted ratio of 1 coach to 4 players to optimize attention to players and minimize Coaching Fees; coach to player ratios may be greater if Coaching Fees are waived
COST

Coaching Fee is dependent on the length of the tournament

Players are responsible for their own direct expenses, including, but not limited to, tournament entry fees, transportation, lodging, and food and beverage

For players traveling under the supervision of Tournament Team, players are always responsible for their own direct expenses

Players are also responsible for their pro rata share of the expenses incurred by the coaches supporting Tournament Team

Coaches expenses vary based on tournament length, location, transportation requirements, number of coaches, and number of supported players

Pate Academy strives to manage down all player and coaches expenses to the greatest extent possible
